Specific Advantages:

  • Surface hardness is increased to 70 Rockwell or higher.

  • Coarse and medium grit CARBINITE Metal Coating can increase the gripping and holding force of workholding and other tools.

  • CARBINITE produces unique holding force to prevent workpiece slip during machining or grinding.

  • Increase in workholding power allows faster feed rates with reduced cycle times in machining operations.

  • Smooth (grade "W") CARBINITE Metal Coating can dramatically increase the life of wear surfaces and reduce friction in mating metal parts.

  • The application of CARBINITE does not require part preheating, so tool temper or heat treat is unaffected. Parts stay near room temperature during coating process.

  • CARBINITE can be reapplied without removal of the original CARBINITE coating, and without additional build-up, thereby maintaining tolerances.
